JUMP REGULATIONS
Long Jump Regulations
According to the WPA, athletes in the T11 category (totally blind) are allowed to use two guides: one positioned near the takeoff board and another near the landing area, but they are not allowed to step onto the takeoff board or the landing zone. The guide provides verbal cues to help the athlete orient themselves during the run-up and jump. However, the athlete cannot be accompanied or followed during the approach.
For athletes in the T12 category (visually impaired), the use of a guide is optional.
For the T13 category (visually impaired with greater residual vision), the use of guides is not permitted in any event.
The takeoff board must be free of obstacles and properly marked. The takeoff area measures 1m x 1.22m (the width of the lane) for T11 and T12 athletes. The front edge of the takeoff area must be between 1m and 3m from the landing zone. If an athlete takes off before the designated takeoff area, the measurement will be taken from the back edge of the takeoff area.
The takeoff board for T13 athletes is the same as that used for sighted athletes.

Triple Jumps
Regulations allow visually impaired athletes to participate in triple jump competitions, although it is recommended to approach this discipline only after achieving a strong foundation in the long jump. In the triple jump, T11 athletes (and optionally T12 athletes) receive acoustic support from their guide.
High Jumps
The World Para Athletics (WPA) includes high jump events for athletes with visual impairments.
Athletes in the T11 category (totally blind) can participate in high jump competitions with the assistance of guides who provide auditory orientation during the approach and the jump.
For athletes in the T12 category (visually impaired), the use of a guide is optional.
For the T13 category (visually impaired with greater residual vision), the use of guides is not permitted in any event.
